Woolly Walks – Participant Information & Waiver Form

Please read this information carefully and complete the participant section below before taking part in any Woolly Walks activity. By signing, you confirm that you understand and accept the conditions set out below.

  1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that participation in a sheep-walking activity involves working closely with live animals in an outdoor environment. I acknowledge that animals can behave unpredictably, and that there may be risks of slips, trips, bites, kicks, knocks, or other injuries associated with outdoor walking and animal handling.
  2. Personal Responsibility
I agree to follow all instructions given by Woolly Walks staff at all times. I understand that appropriate footwear and clothing must be worn and that participation is at my own risk. I confirm that I am in suitable health to take part and that I will supervise any children in my care throughout the session.
  3. Liability Release
In consideration for being allowed to participate, I hereby release Woolly Walks, its owners, staff, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising from participation, except where caused by their negligence.
  4. Animal Welfare & Behaviour
I agree to treat all animals with care and respect. I understand that if my behaviour is deemed unsafe or distressing to the animals or other participants, the session may be ended without refund.
  5. Photography & Media
I consent / do not consent (circle one) to photos being taken during the session that may be used for Woolly Walks’ social media or promotional materials.
  6. Pregnancy Advisory

Pregnant participants are welcome to attend Woolly Walks; however, we advise that contact with sheep during lambing season may carry a small risk of infection (including organisms that may be harmful during pregnancy) through contact with pregnant ewes, lambing fluids, or contaminated materials.

For this reason, pregnant participants should inform Woolly Walks staff prior to the activity. Woolly Walks will take reasonable precautions to minimise any potential risk, including keeping pregnant ewes separate from the walking activity where necessary.

By signing this form, participants confirm they understand this advisory and agree to follow all hygiene guidance provided by staff, including washing hands after animal contact. Participation while pregnant is at the individual’s own discretion.

Health Declaration
I confirm that I have read and understood the information above and have disclosed any relevant health considerations, including pregnancy, prior to participation.

Booking Terms
• A minimum of two paying participants is required per booking.
• Woolly Walks reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone we feel may pose a risk to the welfare of the animals, other participants, or staff.
